they are way beyond incompetent. You don't know half of whats going on in Northern Greece. I have relatives in Cherso, which is a village by Kilkis. Half the people of Cherso locked up their houses and went to Germany for work. Six or seven weeks ago some SYRIZA bigwigs showed up saying that since there is so much empty housing in Cherso the local government should take controll of those empty houses and use them to house refugees. No need to say that they were run out of town but you see the logic. We can not provide opportunities for our own people so they are forced to lock down their houses and go work in Germany. Now lets take their homes and house refugees. And let the original owners still pay real estate tax with the money they earn in Germany. It has gotten outright bizarre.

 

And the day before yesterday Syriza government representative Olga Gerovasili comes out, in the aftermath of the terror attack in Belgium, and makes the following idiotic statement:

So what is good Olga, and the Government she represents,  trying to say? That the peoples of Europe should open their borders so that the "Enemy" that is fear and lack of solidarity with the "Downtrodden" wont remain locked up in Europe?

 

Or is she saying that the peoples of Europe should open up their borders so that the "Enemy" can depart Idomeni for Europe and leave Greece?

 

Either way. Her words are indicative of two things.

 

1. Notice the appeal to the Peoples of Europe who are closing down their borders? It shows you that Olga does not see her self or (Open Borders) Greece as part of Europe.

 

2. Notice the Pseudo Humanitarian attitude? Open your borders you peoples of Europe so that we Greeks can get rid of our unwanted guests.

λίγα νέα απο την σύμμαχο της γερμανίας που ακριβοπληρωνεται για την βοήθεια τους στην καταπολέμηση των όρδων προσφύγων

 

Ο τούρκος πρόεδρος Ρετζέπ Ταγίπ Ερντογάν ενοχλήθηκε σήμερα από την παρουσία την Παρασκευή ξένων διπλωματών στη δίκη δύο δημοσιογράφων που κατηγορούνται για κατασκοπία και πραξικόπημα.

"Ποιοι είστε; Τι κάνετε εκεί;", ρώτησε φανερά ενοχλημένος ο Ερντογάν, σε τηλεοπτική ομιλία στην Κωνσταντινούπολη, κατηγορώντας τους εν λόγω διπλωμάτες για απόπειρα "επίδειξης δύναμης".

"Εδώ δεν είναι χώρα σας, εδώ είναι Τουρκία", πρόσθεσε, σημειώνοντας πως έχουν την δυνατότητα να ενεργήσουν στο πλαίσιο των προξενείων τους. "Αλλού χρειάζεται άδεια", συμπλήρωσε.

Περίπου 200 άτομα - συνάδελφοι, βουλευτές της αντιπολίτευσης και απλοί πολίτες - συνόδευσαν χθες τον Τζαν Ντουντάρ, διευθυντή της εφημερίδας Cumhuriyet, και τον Ερντέμ Γκιουλ, επικεφαλής του γραφείου της εφημερίδας στην Άγκυρα, στο δικαστικό μέγαρο στην Κωνσταντινούπολη. Αρκετοί ευρωπαίοι διπλωμάτες, μεταξύ των οποίων η γενική πρόξενος της Γαλλίας και ο πρέσβης της Γερμανίας στην Άγκυρα, παραβρέθηκαν στην συνεδρίαση.

Οι δύο δημοσιογράφοι δημοσίευσαν τον Ιανουάριο του 2014 ένα μεγάλο άρθρο, συνοδευόμενο από φωτογραφίες και ένα βίντεο, για την κατάσχεση φορτηγών των τουρκικών υπηρεσιών πληροφοριών (MIT), γεμάτων όπλα που προορίζονταν για τους Σύρους ισλαμιστές αντάρτες.

Το άρθρο αυτό προκάλεσε την οργή του Ερντογάν, ο οποίος δεσμεύτηκε πως "εκείνος που δημοσίευσε αυτή την πληροφορία θα πληρώσει βαρύ τίμημα, δεν θα τον αφήσω έτσι".

Λίγο μετά την έναρξη της συνεδρίασης χθες, το δικαστήριο αποφάσισε, μετά από αίτημα του εισαγγελέα, να συνεχιστεί η δίκη κεκλεισμένων των θυρών για λόγους "εθνικής ασφάλειας", προκαλώντας την οργή του κοινού. Η άρνηση πολλών βουλευτών της αντιπολίτευσης να αποχωρήσουν από την αίθουσα ανάγκασε τον πρόεδρο του δικαστηρίου να αναβάλει τη δίκη για την 1η Απριλίου.

Yesterday there was a suicide bombing in Iraq killing 29 people. Even though mentioned in the news, very few people took notice of it.

As westerners, do we only care of what happens in Europe and North America and we ignore the rest of the world? I was talking about this today with a friend who's originally from France.

 

He agreed that this is mostly true. We are shocked by terrorist events happening in Europe or North America but we don't really show as much concern for terrorist acts happening in MiddleEast or Africa. Is this mostly because most westerners feel a sense of kinship with each other or are there other reasons behind it?

 

I think that the sense of kinship is an important factor. Here in Canada I work or associate with people from all over the world all the time. Whenever I find myself in a group where there are people from all over the world, and some Europeans among them, it's almost natural that within a few minutes all Europeans sniff each other out and they hang out together. No matter if this people come from different European cultures, French, German, Italian, Romanian, Ukrainian, they all seem to find common ground in the fact that we're all European.

 

On the other hand, a suicide bombing in a "peaceful" location like Paris or Brussels is a much more shocking event than a suicide bombing in a war-torn and "dangerous" area of the world as Iraq or Afghanistan. It's possible that in our mind it's "natural" for a bomb to go off in Iraq, but "devastating" if it goes off in Paris or Berlin.

Yes, it is true that Westerners only care about what happens in Europe and North America. And when you mentioned Middle East or Africa, you did not mention Asia and India where probably 2/3 of the world population live.

 

In addition to not caring, but there are double standards. When, as an example, China said that there were terrorist acts in Xinjiang by Muslim Uighurs separatists (supported by Turkey as Uighers are Turkic), where the Uighurs were hatching innocent Chinese to death, and were bombing them, Western media reported them as little knife incidents or attacks. There is always more sympathy towards terrorist acts in India.

 

As another example, although not a terrorist act but in terms of awareness of anything that is non-European or non-American, but was a huge event, take the Sichuan earthquake in 2008. How many Westerners even heard and discussed about it?

Όταν έλεγα ότι τα σύνορα θα κλείσουν εξαιτίας της απραξίας και ανικανότητας της Ελληνικής κυβέρνησης εσύ ζητούσες "πηγές" για να μάθεις "Όλη την Αλήθεια". Τώρα που τα σύνορα κλείσανε σου φταίει η κακιά των Αυστριακών, Γερμανών, Μακεδόνων και ούτω καθεξής.
 

Θα κάνω λοιπόν άλλη μια πρόγνωση:

Η ροές θα συνεχιστούν. Τα σύνορα θα παραμείνουν κλειστά. Και μέσα στο καλοκαίρι η Ελλάδα θα γίνει ζούγκλα. Άντε τώρα ψάξε για πήγες, για να μάθεις όλη την αλήθεια. Και μην ξεχάσεις να διασκεδάσεις τα κίνητρα τα δικά μου. Έτσι θα το αποτραπεί το κακό.

Will the EU survive?

 

 

The EU will survive. No question about it. The Europeans acknowledged the problem and they have the means, and the decisivness, to act on it. The hunt is on and muslim minorities in Europe will feel the heat no doubt. Unfortunately Greece is increasingly seen as part of the problem in Europe, and, for the greater part, justifiably so. The Europeans have decided to quarantine Greece. The fences in Macedonia, the Italian-Albanian joint border patrols at the Greek border and the preparations for the construction of a fence along the Greek Bulgarian border are indications for this.

 

The EU deal with Turkey reduced the refugee crisis to a bilateral Greek-Turkish problem and has empowered Turkey. We now have Turkish Immigration agents setting up shop on the Greek Islands to handle the return of refugees to Turkey and the EU funds the whole operation while keeping Greece under lockdown. The Greek Government handed part of its sovereignity over the Islands in the East Aegean to Turkey. Needless to say that this will end bad for Greece.

 

But hey, what did you expect?

The Greek Government refused, and still refuses, to acknowledge the problem. Go through the statements of Greek Government oficials, you'll find much in terms of "Humanitarian" sound bites but close to nothing on the threat this situation poses on the existence of the Greek state. They refuse to see the threat, didn't come up with any proposals of their own and did nothing to secure the border thinking that once the refugees cross north into Macedonia they are somebody elses problem. Well, now the border is shut and it is our problem. Europe got tired of our shit. Greece has become the ugly zitt onEurope's ass so she has been handed over to the Neo-Ottoman empire. That's where the dynamic of the developments is leading. 

 

Greece's borders to Europe are fenced and patrolled while her borders to Turkey remain open and Turkish government agencies operate in Greece. We are oficialy part of the Ottoman Empire again. But hey its all good. Lets wait for the "Whole Truth" to emerge before we do something. At that point we wont be able to do anything anyways so we can continue to sit on our asses and bemoan the evils of the world. And don't you dare blame Alexi and Greek idiocy for this debacle.

πραγματι μου θυμίζεις κατι "δημοκρατικά" πασοκόμουτρα σε άλλο φόρουμ που με βγάλαν φασιστονεοδημοκράτη επειδή τους φανέρωνα όλα τα αμαρτήματα αυτών που ασπάζαν σε θεούς ενω συγχρόνως δεν αρνιομουνα τα αμαρτήματα της άλλης παραταξης, και όχι μόνο, αλλά επιβεβάιωνα και απο πάνω. αλλα νααα!!!! μονο βλέπανε αυτα που θέλανε και άρνηση σε οτιδήποτε  άλλο .... ΑΚΡΙΒΩΣ σαν εσενα, αλλά απο την άλλη όψη του νομίσματος

είπα τίποτα για την κακία των αναφερομενων ; όχι βέβαια . αλλά παραπληροφορηση ως συνήθως βάσει του βιβλιου που ανέφερε. αληθεια μια και μιλάμε για απραξία (μέχρι ύστατης στιγμής) ... 800,000+ μηκαν στην ευρώπη πριν βγάλουν το δάκτυλο απο τον κώλο τους, και ελλάδα εχει μεινει με κατι σα 40,000. το αν η ελλάδα "έπραξε" (εδώ γελάμε)  για να πέσει η αφόρτητη πίεση (πράγμα πολύ αμφίβολο διότι η παρούσα κυβέρνηση εχει αποδείξει ότι δεν έχει ικονότητα να γλέιψει γραμματόσημα, και κάτι μαλακες τους "παρασημοφορούν" αυτό σαν ικανοτητα στρατηγικής - απλως νομίζω οτι εγινε οτι εγινε οτι εγινε απο γενικά φυσικούς λόγους απο την πιεση, ενώ συχρόνως η απραξία, ίσως, της παρούσας κυβέρνησης λόγω ανικανοτης βοήθησε και λίγο) ... πολύ  συζητιέται

 

και ερώτηση πραμένει ... τί έκανε η ευρώπη γι να σταματήσει τον πόλεμο στη συρία, και ξέκίνησε το κακό ; το μουνόπανο ισχυρίζεται οτι η ελλάδα φταίει για όλα, εσυ όμως ; α ναι , ξέχασα, κοιτάς απλώς το συμπτωμα και το πιλιλίζεις μεχρι αηδίας, και στα αρχίδια του η αιτία ή αιτίες

τα κίνητρα σου γνωστά .. για όλα φταίει η συριζα, και αμώλα επιθέσεις ...όπως είπαμε , βάρα ξεγυριστά στα συμπτώματα  και στα παπάρια σου οι αιτίες ....αιτίες σαν ... δεν ξέρω ..γιατί μπήκε η συριζα σαν κυβέρνηση .... ξέρεις ... from zero to hero. και μιλάμε σε αυτό το σημείο για ελλάδα. δεν καν αναφερουμε στους ευρωπαίους, γιατί μάλλιασε η γλώσσα μου - κοίτα στα προηγούμενα. ξέχασα όμως διαβάζεις ότι θέλεις να διαβάζεις, αν βέβαι ξέρεις να διαβάζεις, απομωνώνεις μια παράγραφο και την σφυρίζεις σαν σουπιά, και αγνοείς το υπόλοιπό, ή ακόμα και το ολόκληρο

 

όσο για τις ρόες , απ´ ότι διαβάζω περιορίστηκαν πολύ , ,αλλά το καλοκάιρι έρχεται ...και όπως εχω πέι επαναλημένως, κάνενας απο δαύτους θέλουν να μείνουν ελλάδα. θα μαζευτουν στα βόρεια σύνορα. και η δικία μου πρόγνωση .... θυμάσαι τι είπα για χύτρα ταχύτητος σε παλιότερο ποστ. το τι συζητίεται αν η εκτίναξη θα είναι προς τα έξω ή προς τα μέσα
