Well, being unemployed is not a choice in Greece. What do you suggest these people do?

 

We live in the 21st century. If they can´t find a job in Athens they clearly can get one in London, Basel, Shanghai or Tokyo. Being unemployed is also a choice in greece.

They are unemployed because the Greek government chooses to suffocate the economy in favor of the public sector.

As long as 75% of government expenditure goes to public sector wages and pensions there wont be any money left for

those in need or for investment in the future of the country. An ever shrinking private sector has to carry the burdens

of the public sector. And the demographic contraction makes matters worse.

 

The only solution for young skilled Greeks is to find a job in Northern Europe.

And many have already done so.
