I'm pretty certain that they'll talk again with the Greek government and they will eventually provide financial support to keep Greece in the EU and the Euro. I guess the question is whether the terms in this new agreement are going to be favourable to Greece, as compared to what was put forward in earlier months. I'm assuming that the terms this time around may be harsher, but that's beyond the point. The point is that they'll have to sit at the same table with Tsipras and Varoufakis and hammer out an agreement.

You are wrong. The CDU says that chancellor Merkel starts of organise the Grexit now:

http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/reaktionen-auf-griechen-referendum-politiker-fordern-grexit-a-1042188.html

Tsipras and Varoufakis called us terrorists. Our leaders don´t sit together with such untrustworthy people. Beside that, greece inside the EU is more harmful than outside EU.

The stern just announced the the EU and ECB start negotiations right now to plan the contract for pushing greece out of the €.

http://www.stern.de/politik/referendum-in-griechenland--was-der-sieg-von-alexis-tsipras-bedeutet--6332726.html

Greece faces now the worst downfall ever. An unknown fall into poverty and total collapse of the nation state. At least the greek people decided that they wanted it that way.

We'll see. It's too early to say what's going to happen next. We'll know tomorrow or early next week what the real plan is moving forward.

I believe that they'll all meet at least one more time in the next week or two to find out if there's anything they can agree on and continue negotiations. If the Syriza government continues its unreasonable requests then we may see the EE pushing Greece out of the Euro. We'll see...

There is nothing to see. The ECB and EU member states started negotiations tonight to make a contract whcih will push greece out of the Euro. The greeks voted against Europe today and we must create the legal rules around it to make their wish possible.

P.s.: i´m happy about the result. It ends this pathetic theatre once and for all and the danger to be months in athens goes down to zero. Vancouver! :D

vice chancellor Sigmar gabriel said with that Greece just destroyed the last bridge to europe. It is impossible to find any agreement now and important to find a fast solution to let greece leave the EU and stand for itself.

You know that the Germans are not the only ones to decide what's going to happen to Greece right? Nobody cares what your local politicians say about Greece. much like nobody cares about what Greek politicians say within Greece. This is all irrelevant.

The EU will have to make a decision shortly, and even though Germany's opinion does hold a lot of weight, it's the EU assembly that will decide on Greece's and EU's future.

We'll see what happens. This is not just a financial issue. It's a geopolitical issue.

you are wrong. The baltics, eastern european, finland, netherlands, denmark oppose anything regarding greece. Poorer eu nations like slovenia will never accept to pay tsipras luxury promises from their hard worked money. If the EU gives by now, we can dissolve it. Greece is not a european culture. It is middle eastern and doesn't fit.

Beside that varoufakis was already kicked out of the last meeting. We dont negotiatie with this clowns. As i said before the reponsible persone already meet to discuss the details to kick greece out. Money for nothing will not be the new motto of the EU.

As gice chancellor Gabriel said, its game over. From tomorrow on you will see a humaniterian desaster in greece.

The IOU's will be in place within 2 weeks max. Printing Drachmas may take a while but no matter how the transition is executed they wont be worth shit. Who is going to have trust in the Drachma or the Greek Government. Not even the Greeks who voted NO have that. Yes they went to the polls and Voted for Tsipras and Varoufakis but on the way they stopped by the ATM to pull out all they can. Typical Greek idiocy.

Do they really believe that Tsipras will deliver a deal within 48 hours as he promised? Did they take Democratic procedures into consideration? The old program expired and no European government has a mandade to sign a deal with Greece. Even if there are negotiations they can't be finalized without passing through national parliaments.

And what if the other Euro countries hold referendums whether or not to waste their tax payers money on Greece? Does Tsipras the "Democracy Enthousiast" understand that the Peoples of Europe are tired of their governments burning money in Greece or does their will not matter?

The 18 € zone finance ministers meet today. Greece was not invited. It is the first time that this happens. As i said before, you wont see the faces of the german delegation when they have to deal withvaroufakis, thats a non issue, since they denie to even meet him. Varoufakis made the big promise to have a solution within 48h. Now no other member does even meet or talk with him. Same goes for Tsipras.

Never before we have seen a leader with such miscalculation. I wonder what happenes in greece, when this illussion bursts like a bubble. There is no room for compromise left. Beside that as the EU commission said, The other 18€ member states have the will of their population behind themself as well. A greek Referendum can't force others to give money for free and allow tsipras to win with his primitive methods.

There's no deal happening within 48hrs. This is stupid talk by Tsipras/Varoufakis.

The next important date is July 20th, when the next larger payment is due. The Syriza government have 2 weeks to work things out with EU and get things back on track. If they won't make it then July 20th will be the date when they'll have to make the big decision around going out of the Euro and the EU. In the meantime, the Greek banks will have to survive during these 2 weeks without help from the central bank. It's going to be 2 tough weeks for the Greeks. I hope those who voted "No" realize this.

Tsipras is not the problem anymore. The GREEKS are now the problem.

Before the referendum one could argue in favor of Greece claiming that her people are not responsible for the idiocy of Tsipras.

By now it is clear that the Greeks have the leader they deserve and the leader who speaks for them. Tsipras stands for Greece's idiocy.

I doubt that there are many left in Europe who still think Greece belongs to Europa. The ones who miscalculated here were the Europeans when they admitted Greece into the European Union and the Euro. It is about time for Europeans to rectify this mistake and eject Greece from the family of European Nation to which it does not belong. Greeks lack the mental capacity and conceptual constructs to communicate with European peoples.

Its amusing. Varoufakis just stepped back and says on his own blog that he got told that certain members of the €-group (in other words all 18) send him a message that they won´t talk with him.

Yesterday Sigmar Gabriel said an important thing. Tsipras talks so much about Referendum and Democracy. Lets do it. Make a Referendum in germany, France, Finland, Poland, Netherlands, Baltics and ask the people if they agree free money for greece without any reforms. Lets see what happenes.

And towards Admin you fail to understand reality. There is no plan to hold greece in the EU anymore. The best we will do is humaniterian aid like soup kitchens. Greece voted against the EU. The people have spoken and they have a right to go down with dignity.

It doesn´t matter what greece wants or demands. Greece does not decide about other nations money. It is impossible for Chancellor Merkel to make any concessions. The german people demand that hardest solution possible. Her own party members say they would rather step back then going one meter towards greece. And its not just us. Germany might be the strongest nation, but all the others demand this as well. Its hardly possible for the baltics, slovenia or poland to ask their people to fund greece living standards higher than their own.

Greece labeleld us terrorists. What do you think can be debated anymore? The table is broken and there s nothing to negotiate left. We should accept the greek referendum and let them go. People have the right to vote their own downfall.

Greeke seem to be unable to understand the other side and see evrything from inside greece. Tsipras decided to make any compsomise impossible. What do you expect now? That the leaders of other nations sell out their own people and give their money away?

The ECB decided today that the ELA will not rise. They will stay at the current level. That means the greek banks run out of money. The current daily amount of 60 € will sink to 20 € per day and person.

Seibert, the speaker from chancellor Merkel said today that there will be no further help. We are back to start. We await greece newest proposals. And the standpoint is unchanged. Since the situation is now more serious than one week ago Minister Schäuble said that even harsher cuts will be necessary. So we are at the old game. Greece sends proposals and our leaders mark them red and send them back.

At the end Tsipras has two options. He can accept the plan that his people voted no and save greece from total collapse. Or he stands to the referendum and have the grexit + total collapse.

People here have to realize that greece has not much friends in europe and even less in germany. The german population is anti greece. We can´t stand freeloaders. The basic population here thinks that greece should not even get humaniterian aid. Finance Minister Schäubles popularity did rise on record levels here because he is so hard against greece. Merkels popularity did sink because she was more soft on greece. How do you think a compromise ispossible now, when evry step towards greece would be seen as losing face? And i mean that as honest post. I show the situation over here and how people think here.

The EU is based on compromise. We are all proud nation states. The EU can only work when decissions are made silent and with compromise. Tsipras broke this system and fueled nationalism. And he did also push this topic into the nationalism agenda in germany. Once a topic reached this level it is impossible to cool it down so any site can agree with.

I don´t think Tsipras is fully aware of this or if he might understand it. That he fired Varoufakis and holds a speech that is positive towards germany now suggests that he at least suspects that has a problem.

You have no clue about politics and you clearly only read the publications which write things you like to hear.

Here's the latest news, so that you're aware:

ATHENS (Reuters) - Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras spoke by phone on Monday with Germany's Angela Merkel and agreed to present a Greek proposal for an aid deal at Tuesday's European Union summit, a Greek government official said.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, gave no further details of the call, which comes a day after Greeks voted overwhelmingly to reject the terms of an international bailout deal.

Politics is about negotiation and finding common ground. Do you think that Merkel or anyone else will want to risk taking the blame of a possible Euro or EU blow out. I'm not saying that this will happen if Greece leaves the Euro and the EU, but even if it's a very very slight possibility no smart politician will take the risk to be the one who will sign their name under it.

Merkel and the rest of the EU politicians will do everything in their power to keep Greece in the EU and the Euro. Greece may most likely receive a worse deal than before, but I'm pretty confident that they will all agree on something that will keep everyone happy and in the Euro.

This is not a financial issue. It's a political issue.

You are aware that Merkel has no majority about this and would end her carrier with this? People here want greek out. And as her speaker said, Chancellor Merkel sees no ground for any step back. So you guess Tsipras will offer the same thing he said no to with his referendum? Because anything below that would not be acceptable. We are a democracy too. merkel is not a dictator.

Well, let's wait a few days and see what's going to happen.

I'm no politician myself but I'm pretty certain that there's going to be a cut and restructuring of the debt and a solution to this issue so that Greece will remain in the EU and the Euro.

you only say what greece wants, not what greece can offer.

As Merkel said, we await greece proposals and then see. That means we are back at before the referendum. This does not change our point for hard reforms and cuts. The debt itself is peanuts. We want change in greece.

http://www.spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/griechenland-unionspolitiker-warnen-vor-neuem-hilfsprogramm-a-1042394.html

german politicians say "Oxi" for any new help. CSU general secretery Andreas Scheuer said: "kali nichta hellas". Greece said no to europe, no to the € and wants our money for free. This has to end now.

Peter Ramsauer leader of the economy group of the egrman Bundestag (parliament). He said: "Greece said no to any help from europe and this no should be accepted".

Hans-Peter Friedrich said" The experiment with greece must end now, giving even th slightest concessions would be bad for europe".

Wolfgang Bosbach who was against greek help from the beginning but always voted yes out of loyality to Merkel said that he would step back from office if any new help is debated in the Bundestag. Bosbach is one of the most honored and renomated politicians in germany and close advisor of chancellor Merkel.

Markus Söder, the finance minister of Bavaria said: Greece made clear that it wants a new model in europe. A model where it gets the hard earned money from others for free. This model will not be allowed."

Chancellor Merkel has to ask the Bundestag for evry new help and even before further negotiations she needs the yes from the parliament. The majority of the parliament openly says they will vote no. They have to stand infront their voters in the end and explain them why they take their money and give it a foreign nation for nothing.

Polls say that 68% of germans say that Tsipras is responsible for the greek downfall and 78% demand that greece leaves the €. 32% even denie greece any humaniterian help.

Christian Lindner made an elegant sollution for this. He said Merkel should follow Tsipras and make a Referendum about this issue. That way she puts the responsibility out of her hands and asks the people. The answer would be a clear no.

So far Merkel did not change her opinion about greece a bit. She said she awaits greeks new proposals but will not accept anything below the last plan. That means hard cuts in pensions, high rise in VAT and no haircut.

The ECB meanwhile did not rise the ELA loans, which means the greek banks run out of money during the week.
