What does this word means?

Hi.

There's a book written by a jesuit priest called Manuel Briceño Jáuregui called "El genio literario griego" (The literary greek genius) in three volumes. Each of them has a dedication in greek that reads as follows:

THI AGIWTATHI QEOTOKWI AEIPARQENWI MARIAI DOSIS D ODIGH TE FILH TE (z, 208)

Searching on the internet I could translate most of the words. The books are dedicated to the most holy ever virgin mother of god, Mary, as a present of love. But I can't find what ODIGH means. I don't know if its misspelled; I searched a lot of dictionaries and lexicons and none of them had it.

Can someone help me translating the word ODIGH or give me a hint of what word could be given the context?

Thanks for your help :)

Hi :) Thanks for your reply. When you say that it is a prayer, it is a prayer like "hail mary", "our father" or Other traditional prayer or it is the act of pray?

Looks like it could be similar to οδηγώ which is to drive or lead. Please bear in mind my Greek is appalling.

You are right. The word is misspelled in the original post.

οδηγώ comes from

ὁδός -> way, path

ἄγω -> lead

οδηγώ -> lead the way

Οδήγη, είναι Ευχετική προστακτική της καθαρεύουσας του ρήματος Οδηγώ.

Ως γνωστόν, ο μείζων όγκος των θρησκευτικών κειμένων είναι γραμμένος στην καθαρεύουσα.

Σωστά. Οδήγη με ήτα, όχι ΟΔΙΓΗ με γιώτα.

The Ευχετική προστακτική part could be rendered in simple English as: please [virgin Mary] lead us on the way...
