Hello everyone! My name is Stavros, I am 32 years old, currently live in Greece (Athens), looking for accounting, finance, and banking job opportunities abroad (mainly graduate, entry-level, and 1-3 years work experience jobs).

My qualifications and skills might be summarised as follows:
-Master of Science in International Finance and Economic Policy, University of Glasgow, UK (M.Sc. with Merit/2:1)
-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus, Greece (2:1)
-Full-time work experience of 3 years as an Assistant Accountant, 1 year as an Inventory Manager, and as a Financial Analyst regarding a 6-month project (cost-benefit analysis)
-Part-time work experience of 1 year in Financial Services (customer-facing/sales role) and of several years as a Trainee Assistant Manager (family business)
-Computer literate and proficient with most Microsoft Office programs (work/hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel as well as ERP and CRM systems)
-Excellent command of the English language (ECPE, Michigan) and the Greek language (native) as well as decent knowledge of the French language (DELF II)
-Bright, energetic, social, positive, customer-focused, highly organised, excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical mind, excellent numerical skills, ability to handle, analyse, and interpret complex data, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, able to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis competently, perform well under pressure and enjoy challenges, flexible, strong negotiation skills, ability to work independently and within deadlines, team player, self-motivated, proven ability to understand and adopt new formats/systems quickly, excellent research skills, commercial and competition awareness, thinking outside the box, taking a long-term view, dedicated to expand knowledge, reach targets, and add value to the firm
-Internationally mobile (EU citizen)

Although it would be ideal to be able to relocate back to UK (I lived in Scotland for 1 year), my search is by no means restricted to it (I am also looking for jobs within EU, including Poland, Romania, France, Norway, as well as outside EU, such as Australia, Canada, China, USA, Singapore). I am now sending applications abroad and managed to get telephone interviews by RBS and Capgemini in UK (both of them will be held next week). Nevertheless, I would also consider any Greek speaking positions abroad even if they are not on my field of studies or experience (i.e. customer service roles e.t.c.), bearing in mind that my efforts are focused on relocating and finding a decent job.

At last but not at least, I consider myself determined for expanding knowledge and boosting my career within an international forward-thinking firm.

I would like to thank you for your time and hope all the best for Greek people all over the world!

You may contact me at: sderdas@gmail.com

Kind regards

Stavros
