Job description:

The restaurant menu is changed on a regular basis and you will have input on the dishes you feel will be popular amongst guests and also to include various speciality dishes
Cooking delicious meals that have been made from the freshest ingredients that are delivered daily using local suppliers

Job requirements:

Attention to detail
Being able to work under pressure
Be organised and able to produce consistently high standards for large covers
Be up to date on current styles and trends
Be organised and able to plan ahead
Normally the successful candidate would work a 4 or 5 day week but need to be flexible on occasions.
Very good knowledge of English and Greek

We are currently recruiting for our client based in Melbourne a greek/english speaking Restaurant Manager.


Job description:

Estimate food consumption, place orders with suppliers, and schedule delivery of fresh food and beverages.
Resolve customer complaints about food quality or service.
Direct cleaning of kitchen and dining areas to maintain sanitation standards, and keep appropriate records.
Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure that health and safety standards.
Maintain budget and employee records, prepare payroll, and pay bills, or monitor bookkeeping records.
May use computer software to monitor inventory, track staff schedules and pay, and perform other record keeping tasks.
Check quality of deliveries of fresh food and baked goods.
Meet with sales representatives to order supplies such as tableware, cooking utensils, and cleaning items.
Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
Total receipts and balance against sales, deposit receipts, and lock facility at end of day.
Select or create successful menu items based on many considerations, and assign prices based on cost analysis.
Recruit, hire, and oversee training for staff.
Schedule work hours for servers and kitchen staff.
Monitor food preparation and methods.


Job requirements:

At least 2 years experience as a restaurant manager
Supervisory experience
Excellent communication skills in greek and english
Be prepared to work flexible hours
Strong leadership and financial skills
Guest focused and proficient in culinary operations

There is a great career chance for a greek speaking Pastry Chef in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities:

Meet with executive chef in the restaurant to discuss menu planning and pairing of desserts with entrée and appetizer selections.

Testing and evaluation of new pastry and dessert recipes.

Ordering all supplies from various vendors and in some cases going directly to the growers for the freshest possible fruits and berries.

Preparing a budget for the pastry department of the kitchen in conjunction with the
management and the other chefs.
