Yassou! My name is Victoria i am 18, and I'm very in love of Greece. I like the music, the people, the historical monuments, mythology, and of course the language. Although I know some words and expressions in greek, I really want to speak it fluently!!    Also I've studied ancient greek last year and I loved it

hello everyone, my name is Mark kai eimai apo tin ameriki. i'm 21 years old kai den milaw kala ellinika but i try. My family is from greece patra and volos to be exact, they never spoke greek to me as a child because they wanted me to have the "american life". The only person who was teaching my greek was my pappous who just died so now i'm teaching myself. I am EXTREMELY PROUD of my greek heritage, some people find it annoying because i constantly do the same thing as the old man in "my big fat greek wedding" which is boast about how great the greeks are. I golf everyday and love it and i'm currently at the university of memphis about to graduate and then i'll will be off to law school. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people around here and learning more Greek.

Hi,

I am an Armenian American of Jewish/Christian culture. I came here to study Greek culture because I heard it is similar to the Armenian culture, and I am looking for more opportunities to learn about cultures in SE Europe/the Mediterranean.

Greetings!

I'm a Hellene currently living in San Antonio, TX. I was born in Makedonia, grew up in Germany and went to college there. Traveled, and worked a bit, in various EU countries. Have been living in the US for over 10 years now.

I visit Hellas quite often, and I always had the desire to live there permanently but it never works out. As much as I hate to admit it: the place goes on my nerves after a while.

Apparently, my love for Hellas is directly proportional to my geographic distance from it. Go figure!
Nevertheless. I love my people and my country with all their vices and virtues. Sounds retarded? I know, but that's how I experience the Greek Condition.

Glad to be here. Looking forward to some interesting discussions.
