Hello ! I am Bill - actually Vasilis - from the New York Metro Area. I am second generation Greek-American. I do speak, read, and write Modern Greek though my opportunities to use the language are not as frequent as in the past.
My Grandparents came from Aigion, Lesvos, Mykonos, and Asia Minor so I am quite a Hellenic mixture. Different geographical locations from the 'patrida' !
I am here to hopefully meet and communicate with other Greeks because the Greek community where I live is not very active and there are so few Greeks living in my area. Also, Astoria is no longer the Hellenic Hub it used to be so here I am !
